The majority of my photographic time is spent pursuing projects; creating a set of images unified by a theme or approach. This is rarely particularly cerebral; my ultimate aim is to create something that is aesthetically pleasing and/or interesting.

These days I rarely go out without some idea of what photographs I'm after, and often have something quite specific in mind. I find planning in advance increases my chances of success, and have usually got future photos in mind when I visit somewhere. I usually have a couple of projects on the go at any one time; which one I choose to pursue when I have some free time usually depends on mood and weather conditions!
